This Privacy Policy applies to: (a) information we collect through this website; and (b) how Dentin Offline software handles data as a system. It does not apply to data that dental clinics independently collect from their patients.
2. Data We Collect on This Website
Demo request form
When you complete a demo request, we collect your full name, clinic name, email address, phone number, practice size, and any message you provide. This data is used solely to schedule and conduct a product demonstration and to follow up regarding your interest in Dentin Offline.
Newsletter subscription
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use this only to send periodic updates about Dentin Offline features, availability, and dental practice resources. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting support@dentinoffline.com.
Usage data
We collect anonymised analytics data (pages visited, device type, approximate geographic region) through Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. No personally identifiable information is collected by this means without your prior interaction with a form.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card details through this website. We do not run advertising networks, install marketing pixels, or build advertising profiles of visitors.
3. Software and Patient Data
Patient data is stored exclusively on your clinic's own hardware. Dentin Offline software operates entirely offline. It does not transmit patient records, clinical notes, appointment data, billing information, or any other patient-related data to our servers or to any third party.
The dental clinic that uses Dentin Offline is the Data Fiduciary in respect of patient personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 ("DPDP Act"). The clinic determines the purposes and means of processing patient data by entering and maintaining that data in the software.
Dentin Offline, as the software developer, does not have access to, does not receive, and does not process any patient data. The clinic owner is responsible for obtaining informed consent from patients for the collection and maintenance of their clinical records, and for complying with all applicable laws — including the DPDP Act and the IT (SPDI) Rules 2011 — with respect to patient data.
Patient data export (CSV, JSON, PDF) is initiated by the clinic user and remains entirely within their control.

5. Third-Party Data Processors
We share data with the following third parties only to the extent necessary to operate our website and business:
- Supabase Inc. — Our website's form backend. Demo requests and newsletter signups are stored in a Supabase database. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf. Data is processed in accordance with Supabase's data processing terms.
- Google LLC (Analytics) — Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised website usage data. This data is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy and our data processing agreement with Google.
- Google LLC (Fonts) — Google Fonts is used to load typefaces. Your IP address may be logged by Google when fonts are loaded. We use preconnect directives to minimise data exposure.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing platforms.
We may disclose your data if required by a court order, government authority, or applicable Indian law, provided we are permitted to notify you of such disclosure.
6. Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are not set until you interact with the website or after a 5-second delay. You may prevent analytics cookies by using browser settings or an ad blocker. Strictly necessary cookies (if any) are exempt from consent requirements.
7. Data Retention
We retain website contact data (demo requests, newsletter subscriptions) for as long as necessary to maintain a business relationship or as required by applicable law, and no longer than 5 years from the date of collection or last contact, whichever is later. After this period, data is deleted or anonymised.

8. Security
We implement reasonable security practices and procedures as required under Section 43A of the Information Technology Act 2000 and the IT (SPDI) Rules 2011. Website form data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in access-controlled databases.
In the event of a personal data breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by the DPDP Act 2023 and report to the Data Protection Board of India where mandated.
9. Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act 2023 and IT (SPDI) Rules 2011, you have the right to:
- Access — request a summary of personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Nominate — nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act 2023.

11. Children
Our website and software are intended for use by adult dental professionals and clinic owners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
